VmWare Player on Windows

A good way to set up training environment for Linux is to use VMWare virtual machine — regardless of your computer's native OS — virtual machine experiments are repeatable, they do not pollute your working environment and cleanup is easy. From the many possibilities VmWare has been chosen because of its open-source and freeware status, runs on multiple platforms, has a simple and convenient engine — the VmWare Player.

Download

  1. Download the newest VmWare Player from: http://www.vmware.com/download/player/
  2. Click on Download now for the newest version of the VmWare Player
  3. Enter formā your data honestly, or any rubbish, though e-mail address should be in form aaa@bbb.cc
  4. Click on Download now again
  5. Click on Accept in the license agreement form
  6. Click on Download hyper link and select Save as (if it is not done automatically), to save file in your computer.

Installation

  1. Open downloaded installation file (e.g., VMware-player-2.0.2-59824.exe), and follow to the wizard
  2. Wait till wizard is opened
